PRESS RELEASE: Working Moms Connection Hosts 2019 Event in Utah

Networking, Business Coaching, Mom-Wins, and More on the Agenda

Working Moms Connection will host their annual event on June 14-15, 2019, in Provo, Utah at the Utah Valley Convention Center. The event will provide a chance for working moms to connect with one another and celebrate their mom-wins. Sponsors and businesses will be present, giving attendees the opportunity to network with one another and with people in their fields of work. The event will have break-out workshops and key note speakers where women will gain valuable insight and skills to help them with balancing their work life with their home life.

Working Moms Connection was founded by a real mom who saw a need and answered the call. In 2016, after returning to work following the birth of her first child, May felt lost and alone. She felt like she was stuck in her career and couldn’t progress. Motherhood was overwhelming. She experienced severe mom-guilt for leaving her son at daycare while she went to work. She felt like she was an ineffective employee, wife, mother, and homemaker. She looked for help and discovered that the resources for working moms were severely lacking, even though 80% of working moms report shouldering most of the household. Many of these moms were experiencing the same feelings of inadequacy as May. Responding to the need, May created Working Moms Connection.

Today, Working Moms Connection is one of the fastest growing online communities out there with members from all over the United States and throughout the world. This community allows women to network and offer one another support. The community has helped women deal with issues ranging from childcare and homework to rebellious teenagers and abusive relationships. In addition to their Facebook (Insert Link) group, WMC also has a popular blog (Insert Link) where women can go to get down-to-earth advice about a variety of topics from real moms.

Each year, Working Moms Connection hosts an in-person event for these women to meet and learn from each other. This year’s event will be held June 14-15 in Provo, Utah. WMC also offers business coaching to help businesses make their organizations more Mom-friendly with a comprehensive 1-on-1 review of the organization. WMC also donates rocking chairs and mini-fridges to qualifying organizations to help support the new moms who have to pump.

Working Moms Connection started out wanting to support four types of moms:

  1. Moms who are career driven and want to move up without sacrificing their family.
  2. Moms who have stayed home for a while and want to reenter the work force.
  3. Moms who want to leave their 9 to 5 job and run their own businesses.
  4. Moms who have a career but want to transition to be a stay-at-home-mom.

Working Moms Connection recognized that the organization was too small to accommodate so many moms at once, so in 2018, they focused on the first type of mom. WMC plans to add services for the other moms in the future as the organization grows and gains more support.

Moms interested in being part of this event so that they can network, share mom-wins, get real-life advice about family and careers, or who just want to relax and enjoy the companionship of other working moms should register soon before the price goes up. This event will be a life-changing one for everyone who attends. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/embrace-by-working-moms-connection-tickets-42865943190 I would put in a register button instead of the link.

Anyone interested in sponsoring or speaking at this event, or any organization interested in setting up a booth as a vendor, should email May.
